Our First Week

We have had quite a busy week living in our 5th wheel full time.  Just in case you are wondering, when you buy a brand new 5th wheel and expect no problems at all.  Ha ha ha, you and we are so wrong.  When a 5th wheel is created, there will always be bumps and bruises you have to overcome.  Most everything will be covered by warranties on a new model.  Nonetheless, we had a rocky start but are slowly guiding "The Gloria Howard Presidential Kreuzer" in the correct direction.  We are currently in Rock Crusher Canyon, Crystal River, Florida.  We will have our anchor in the sand here until the 1st of May.  This will allow us to get the bugs out and help to prepare for our next journey.  We have neighbors but we are so swamped with "gotta dos" that we really have not had time to mingle too much.  My beautiful wife Sondra has been continuously busy as well with paperwork and filings that have to be done before we move forward.  I keep busy with the outside stuff as well as any simple maintenance needed.  I do want to thank my in laws Carole and George Bryan for everything they have done in the early stages of our new lifestyle.  They allowed us to pack our 5th wheel at their house as well as given us a few days of good home cooking.  I will miss them as we continue on our way.  Thanks again Mom and George for everything.  We no sooner arrived at the Rock Crusher when our new truck decided to get sick and throw up power steering fluid all over the engine compartment during the docking of "The Gloria Howard Presidential Kreuzer"  I know I should not repeat myself like that but it sounds so kewl!!  The truck will have surgery tomorrow and hopefully she can come home as well.  Until next time, have a great week and be sure to stop by justkreuzin.com next week...

  1. Smart of you to work out the kinks before really getting on the road. I have friends who got a beautiful brand new trailer and the first time it rained, it rained inside. Hopefully you won't be having that problem.
I'll be sure to be checking in again. Have fun!

  4. hahahaha..."new truck decided to get sick and throw up power steering fluid all over the engine compartment"

I'm sorry to laugh at your misfortune, but that's exactly how it seems! I've had a busted power steering hose before and yep, that's what it looks like. O truck, get well soon!
